Camán to Leinster

The annual Camán to Leinster day for u12 club players took place last Sunday, the 26th May, in Abbottstown, Dublin. With 48 clubs attending on the day, it was a jam-packed day of camogie for all and the skills on display show the level of work going into club underage across the clubs. 72 games took place over the course of the day and 844 young players took to the fantastic pitches of the GAA Games Development Centre with each club having 3 games in total against clubs from other counties across the province. A massive well done to all the club players, mentors, coaches, parents and referees who made an enormous effort to attend and represented their clubs in a very sporting and enthusiastic manner all day.

These clubs now enter the draw for Caman to Croker 2020 and for attending on the day, each club will be given the opportunity to redeem tickets to this year All Ireland Camogie Finals on Sunday 8th September.

Leinster Club Summer Sevens – u16 and u21

The Leinster Club Summer Sevens 2019 is now open for applications. This year the event will have two venues running with u16 and u21 occurring on the same day. We have two Regional venues taking place on:

Sunday 23rd June in Tinryland GAA Club, Carlow
and
Saturday 13th July in Westmeath venue.

This is to try to encourage clubs to travel to their nearest region for games.
This 7’s initiative is open to all non-county players within the clubs and is designed to give games to clubs who may not have fixtures when the intercounty scene is in action.
Eligibility according to age will be in accordance with rule 28.4.
For u16 – players must be over 12 and under 16 years and not be playing within the  county u14, u15 and u16 squads.
For u21 – we will use Adult ruling for eligibility whereby players must be over 15 and not playing county u16/17/Minor/Adult.
Those who qualify will progress onto the Finals day in August.
