21 coaches form 5 clubs in Down attended a 'Coach the Tackle' workshop on Wednesday night 19th November last. The workshop took place in the excellent facilities of Longstone GAC in Co Down. The workshop which was delivered by Ger Gribben Camogie RDO focussed on the progression of the tackling skills from U6 /U8 level up to senior level. Thanks to Marty McNeill and the Longstone club for hosting the workshop and also to Bonny McGreevy who assisted in the delivery of the session.

2015 Liberty Insurance GAA Games Development Conference 9th/10th January
Details announced for the 2015 Liberty Insurance GAA Games Development Conference – 'Putting Youth into Perspective' on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th January in Croke Park
Following on from the success of the 2014 Conference – which focused on issues related to the development of the child player – the 2015 Conference will focus on issues related to the Youth Player (aged 13 – 18 years). 
Friday, January 9th will see the first Coach Education forum in the GAA. This event will outline the future of coach development, and is a must see event for anyone concerned with the development of our coaches. Saturday, January 10th will be a combination of key note addresses, parallel discussions and a players forum which will focus on 'Putting Youth into Perspective'

Mum & Me Longford
The Mum & Me programme came to conclusion in new club area Kenagh in County Longford. The 6 week programme rolled out by RDO Lizzie Flynn with the assistance of tutor Colm Flynn. Following the 6 week programme the mothers and guardians expressed interest in continuing the camogie and participating in games themselves. The mothers/guardians and young camogie players are continuing an additional 4 week indoor programme of games whereby the kids play a game followed by the adults. 19 mothers and 25 children are taking part in total.

National School Indoor Blitz in Wicklow

Code of Ethics Courses
Mullingar
A code of ethics course is taking place in the Executive Lounge County Council buildings in Mullingar from 6.30pm-9.30pm on December 1st. Contact lflynn@camogie.ie to book a place
 
Meath
A code of ethics course is taking place in Áras Tailteann on 4th December at 7pm and costs €10 per person. Contact lflynn@camogie.ie to book a place
 
 
Camogie Level 2 Coaching Course
The second weekend of the level 2 camogie coaching course took place in Clonmel Co Tipperary last weekend. There are 22 coaches completing the course. The course runs over 3 weekends and covers topics such as match analysis, goal setting, building rapport, problem solving and decision making. Lead Tutor on course is Damien Young with other development officer tutors and guest tutors also presenting modules over the 3 weekends. Damien tutored on Match analysis, fitness testing and problem solving and decision making.Thanks to Paudie Butler who tutored on ‘Wall Ball’, Aoife lane who tutored on ‘Goal Setting’, Ross Corbett who tutored on ‘Warm up’ Lizzie Flynn who tutored on ‘Female athlete’ and Yvonne Byrne who tutored on ‘Building Rapport’.  The final day of the course is next Saturday with each coach also preparing a practical for assessment in January.
