The final weekend of the level 2 camogie coaching course took place in the presentation secondary school in Clonmel Co Tipperary last weekend. There are 22 coaches completing the course. The course ran over 3 weekends and last weekend topics included communication, planning and periodisation, fix the skill through games and goal setting for coaches. Lead Tutor on course is Damien Young with other development officer tutors and guest tutors also taking modules over the 3 weekends. Participants on the course will undergo a practical assessment in January before obtaining their level 2 Certificates. Pictured above is group photo of participants and tutors.

2015 Liberty Insurance GAA Games Development Conference 9th/10th January
The Launch of the GAA Games Development Conference took place in Croke Park on Wednesday the 3rd December.
The topic for the Camogie presentation at the Conference is ‘The need for Speed’- developing and enhancing teenage player’s capacity on speed of hand, speed of foot and speed of thought. Peter Casey will be presenting on the topic. Peter Casey has been the coach with the Clare Senior Camogie Team from 2012 – 2014.

Fermanagh Blitz
Attached is 70 girls from Fermanagh who participated in fun year 8 camogie Blitz in Lakeland Forum, Enniskillen. The girls were from Mount Lourdes, Enniskillen, St Fancheas Enniskillen, St Marys Irvinestown and St Aidans Derrylin. All the girls have received coaching from Jamie Campbell over the last 5 weeks, and then all the girls came together to participate in fun blitz for 2 hours. During the course of 2 hours over 32 games were played between the girls in 5 a-side match.

Derry Camán Get a Grip Course
22 Derry coaches have just completed foundation in Magherafelt GAC. The coaches were from Loup, Kilrea, Glen, Castledawson and host club Magherafelt. Many thanks to Magherafelt who provided food on both nights, it was greatly appreciated by all involved. Tutor on course was Lisa McAliskey.  
 
 
Code of Ethics Courses
