Technical Development and Participation Manager

The Camogie Association is a leading female sporting body in Ireland. Its primary objective is to promote, develop and manage camogie in Ireland and internationally. The priorities of the Association are set out in its National Development Plan (2020-2023) and cover all aspects of the sport including games development, player welfare, enhancing the profile of the game, commercial development, and volunteer enhancement. The Association is a vibrant association within the Gaelic Games Family.

The Association is now seeking to appoint a Technical Development and Participation Manager

The successful candidate will be a member of the Senior Management Team, and will be responsible for leading the technical, participation, retention and games related strategies of the Association, driving growth, engagement, retention and improving standards across the technical and games aspects of the Associations work.

The Technical Development and Participation Manger will be expected to manage a diverse staff team, to deliver, prepare for and build the game of the future. The post supports and manages the implementation of activities; supports volunteers and manages staff and budgets towards the achievement of identified targets including targets on increased participation in Camogie as identified in the National Development Plan 2020-2023 and successor plans.

The postholder will be responsible for ensuring that initiatives to strengthen participation in Camogie, and its technical development, compliment and support the work of others including club, county boards, provincial councils, education councils and schools, international units, sports partnerships, relevant community groups and statutory bodies.

Working hours: Full Time, 39 Hour Working week, 5/7 Days. Working days may differ week to week depending on business needs. This role requires flexibility and will entail out-of-hours working.
