The Leinster County under 15 Development Squad Blitz day was held on Saturday 26th September. This was the second year of the Leinster county blitz day. With 7 counties and 10 teams from the province and 210 girls in total taking to the pitches of Carlow Town Hurling Club to display some fine Camogie skills. It was a warm day but the girls showed no signs of fatigue as they got plenty of games and most of all plenty of enjoyment from a day out with their county pals! Congratulations to all counties who participated in this worthwhile day for developing our standards within Leinster and continuous improvement of our players individually. We hope they use this as a starter point for their under 16 county squads next year or continued work being done with Coillte and development squads.
Special thanks to Carlow Town Hurling club for providing a great venue with all pitches in use and to local referees Ollie Hynes, John Thompson and Patrick Murphy for the busy schedule we gave to them! Most of all thanks to the girls and management from Dublin, Carlow, Wicklow, Meath, Kilkenny, Laois and Kildare who represented their counties with great distinction. Well Done.
