THE 36th Kilmacud All-Ireland 7’s final was a thrilling affair between Cashel of Tipperary who defeated Galway side Athenry 3-9 to 4-5. Tipperary star and player of the Tournament Claire Grogan finished the day with a hat trick of goals in the final. The winners were a point ahead at the break 1-6 to Athenry’s 2-1, Brenda Kerins netting the two Galway goals.
The Sean Flynn Shield Final was an equally exciting affair between two Down sides, Ballycran and Clonduff who won 4-12 to Ballycran’s 3-4 with Down star Sara Louise Carr finishing with 2-2 for the winners.
Well done to the Stillorgan club who once again put on a great tournament with over 50 teams taking part including Fr Murphy’s from London. Uachtarßn Joan O’Flynn was there early on meeting and greeting the many players from all over the country and later in the afternoon made the presentations to winners and runners up at the end of a very fruitful day.

Denise Lynch of the Kilmaley club in Clare was the winner of the Kilmacud Poc Fada. Well known for her lengthy puck outs as the Banner custodian, she is a previous winner of the Martin Donnell All Ireland Poc Fada in the Cooley Mountains.
