A CPD for the first and second year students of Tipperary was held on Tuesday the 20th of October 2009 in Morris Park, Thurles. Approx 96 players and four schools in total participated, namely St Anne’s Tipp Town, Cashel, Nenagh and Borrisokane.
The games were closely contested with some excellent displays from what are sure to be future Tipperary camogie players.
It was particularly heartening to witness the displays of the girls from St. Annes, who turned out in huge numbers entering 3 teams into the 10 a side blitz. Their school is currently making great efforts to promote the game of camogie. It is hoped St Annes will build on this and develop a proud tradition of camogie in the school in the coming years.
This CPD was also the 3rd module of the Referee’s Green Card initiative. All referees performed to a very high standard on the day.
The TY referees represented the following schools: Templemore, Nenagh, Borrisokane and Cashel.
Well done to all schools who participated on the day and congratulations to the TY Referees on the completion of the Green Card Course.
Thank you to Morris Park as always for making their excellent facilities available to us.
