On Friday night Tir Conaill welcomed the Craobh Chiarain and St Vincent’s teams from Dublin.  These were joined on Saturday by Forth Camanchd for a day of camogie in blustery weather.  The teams were evenly matched, with Tir Conaill eventual winners in the final against St Vincents A team.

This was a historic win for Tir Conaill, as it is the first cup win since the current team formed 10 years ago.  The team was captained by Aisling Gribbin.
Player of the camogie tournament went to Tir Conaill’s Marian Holohan, who had an outstanding day in the mid-field.

A bit of light relief was provided at lunch time when players took part in a “”skills”” competition and a tug of war challenge.  Emma from St Vincent‘s took the honours for the skills competition.  However, as none of the teams would give an inch, the tug-of-war ended up in a 3 way draw.

The Hooley went off with it’s usual swing, courtesy of the Amadhains. The Harps took the opportunity to say cheerio to Hilda Dooley, who has gone to the deep south to continue her studies.  We will sorely miss her.
