By Kieran Slattery,
“”We are naturally delighted that we have once again reached the
“”However, our girls are ready for the challenge, having prepared extremely well under their trainers and coaches. They are well focused, positive and determined to do their living best to bring County honours back to the shores of Lough Derg for the first time. All the more determined, after the sides disappointing performance last year in the semi final against Drom & Inch.
“”I believe the experience gained over the last two years should stand to them in this year’s final, as we now have a nice blend of youth, experience and maturity in the team. We were very disappointed to be defeated by Clonoulty in the Junior A Semi final by a point, so hopefully lady luck will smile benignly on our efforts this Sunday and bring us a much sought after first Senior title, which our dedicated and loyal supporters have so long desired.
“”Finally, a sincere thank you to those in the club who work so hard day in and day out in the promotion of Camogie from under age right up to Senior level.””
Message from Cashel Club Chairperson
On behalf of the Cashel Camogie club I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made it possible for us to reach the Senior Camogie County Final of 2009. I would like to welcome our supporters and thank you for loyalty all year. To all our trainers, mentors, and everybody else who helped in any way during the year a big thank you to you all. A word must also go to the players, who have given a tremendous effort all year and who relish the opportunity to compete in this final.
I would also like to thank my fellow officers, both at juvenile and adult level who work tirelessly through out the year to keep things running smoothly.
I wish both teams the very best of luck today and I am sure it will be a game to enjoy for the spectators.
