In the Ulster Premier League Shield last years beaten finalists Ballymacnab take on Eglish.
Ballymacnab will be determined to use last year’s disappointment to attain the title this year.
Ballymacnab have experienced player throughout their squad with current Armagh star Laura Gribben in midfield, as well as a number of talented players including Shauna McKee who plays at centre-half back.
Eglish will prove difficult oposition, the Tyrone side have had an impressive start to their season and with several Tyrone stars driving the team forward they remain unbeaten in the competition.
McKee is weary of the threat Eglish pose saying: “”The girls are looking forward to the game against a strong Eglish side. We’ve already came up against Eglish earlier in year and it was a tough encounter we will be glad of the competitive game and look forward to the challenge.””
Up front Eglish captain Shauna Jordan is a constant threat to opposition defenses and her cousin Maira always looks likely to score. In midfield Grainne O’Neill controls play and drives her side forward. Eglish have been dealt a blow with the news that All-Star nominee Juile Lagan looks set to miss the final with a knee injury.
Tyrone sides Derrylaughlin and Daoiretresc will compete in the Mid-Ulster League Final.
