Clare v Offaly @Cusack Park, Ennis 3pm Sunday
Clare will get their All-Ireland campaign on the road this Sunday with a home game against Offaly. While the Clare side will be taking things one game at a time they are sure to want to have as an end result a reappearance in Croke Park on September 14th.
The Banner side have already claimed the National League Division 2 title beating last years Junior winners Derry. Offaly were in the final of the Division 3 losing out in a replay to Antrim who Clare will also have to face in their campaign. While Clare were certainly going well earlier in the year it has been a number of weeks since that final and a competitive game. Clare have played a few challange games recently and the minor win over Cork in Munster where some of those players will be involved in the Junior campaign should all go well for the squad.
Management will not name a team until later in the week as has been the norm for them over the past. They will be watching on the progress of Claire Commane and Cathy Hally who are recovering from injury. Fiona Lafferty also picked up a knock in a recent club game and was substituted in that. Claire McMahon and Danielle Sheedy are new additions to the panel and will help in strengthening it.
Clare will be hoping to get things of to a winning start with this home game but will take nothing for granted in the lead up to this game.
