As we enter the knock-out rounds of the 2015 Liberty Insurance Camogie Championships it’s time take a look ahead to this weekend's matches.
Saturday August 1st
Liberty Insurance Senior Camogie Championship Play-Off
Clare v Dublin, Semple Stadium, Thurles, 2pm, Referee: Cathal Egan (Cork)
Clare go into this play-off match on the back of their first win of the campaign last weekend against Derry. Dublin also defeated Derry in their final group game and will be looking to book a place in Monday’s quarter-final against Wexford.
It looks set to be a tight affair as the sides finished level when they met in the group stage, whilst Dublin prevailed by just 2 points when they met earlier this year in the National League.
Liberty Insurance Senior Camogie Championship Quarter-Final
Cork v Tipperary, Semple Stadium, Thurles, 4pm, Referee: Ray Kelly (Kildare)
Reigning All-Ireland champions Cork will be looking to bounce back from their defeat at the hands of Wexford in the last round of the group stage. The Rebel County impressed with wins against Limerick and Offaly in the group stage and will be looking to recapture this form if they are to reach Croke Park once more this year.
Tipperary come into this tie following an impressive group campaign which saw them lose only to a rampant Kilkenny side that eventually topped the group, defeating Clare, Derry and Dublin along the way. The Premier County have not reached an All-Ireland Final since 2006 or won the O’Duffy Cup since 2004 and will therefore see this fixture as a massive opportunity to rectify their absence from the top of the Camogie tree.
