Another busy weekend of club camogie saw championship action intensify over the weekend as clubs battled for places in the decisive stages.
In Cork, St Finbarr’s edged Sarsfields 0-18 to 0-16 in the SE Systems Senior Championship, while Blackrock defeated Courcey Rovers by the narrowest of margins, 1-12 to 2-08.
In the Canal Court Down Senior Championship, Liatroim defeated Ballyholland 2-10 to 1-06. Clonduff and Portaferry also recorded convincing victories over Ballycran and Ballygalget respectively.
There were four games in the Michael Lyng Motors Kilkenny Senior Championship. Dicksboro recorded a comprehensive win over Danesfort, while Tullaroan defeated Clara 0-22 to 3-07. Thomastown overcame Young Irelands 2-10 to 1-10, with Piltown also recording a comfortable victory over St Brigid’s.
St Kevin’s were convincing winners over St Bride’s in the Whiteriver Louth Senior Championship on Friday evening.
In the Bective Stud Meath Senior A Championship, Kilmessan defeated Blackhall Gaels 4-10 to 2-09. Na Fianna were convincing winners over Kiltale, while Killyon overcame Ratoath 2-14 to 0-11.
Shinrone defeated Drumcullen 0-21 to 1-08 in the HQ Physio Offaly Senior A Championship, while St Cillian’s recorded a 3-13 to 1-09 victory over Birr.
In Tipperary, Drom-Inch defeated Moycarkey Borris 2-14 to 0-10 in the FBD Insurance Senior Championship. Éire Óg Annacarty also advanced following a 1-15 to 1-12 win over Cashel King Cormacs.
Gailltír and De La Salle booked their places in the Clannad Care Waterford Senior Championship final on Saturday following convincing wins over Cappoquin and St Anne’s respectively.
In Westmeath, Raharney secured their place in the David Smyth Catering Senior Championship final with a comprehensive victory over Lough Lene Gaels.
Finally, Glynn Barntown and St Martin’s advanced from the Clearwater Construction Wexford Senior Championship semi-finals. Glynn Barntown recorded a convincing win over Oylegate Glenbrien, while St Martin’s defeated Oulart-the Ballagh 3-15 to 0-12.
