The first successful training days for the M.N.A. Programme took place in LIT Thurles and the National Sport Campus on the Saturday March 7th for the 55 registered clubs. The second day of training was due to take place on Saturday March 21st, however due to the current situation this had to be cancelled.
We and the M.N.A. Mentors were keen to continue in some form as there was great energy and input on the first day of training.
So we have now taken the M.N.A Mentor Training online via webinars over four weeks. Each week a new module will be covered. This started on Wednesday April 15th and the schedule is as follows:

Of the 55 M.N.A. Clubs, there are 48 M.N.A Mentors participating in the webinar series and those who haven’t been able to so far are frontline responders in this crisis and people with other work commitments. These M.N.A. Mentors will be gladly catered for when available to do so.
In doing the element of training online, it will provide the M.N.A. Clubs and Mentors, when activity hopefully returns, the skills and knowledge to deliver our Hurl with Me Initiative within the Clubs.
