The 2026 Shinty-Hurling/Camogie Internationals, taking place as a double-header at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Saturday 24th October, were launched on Thursday in Cork.
Ireland hurling and camogie teams will host their Scottish shinty counterparts on Leeside, after the 2025 double-header took place in Inverness.
Over the coming weeks, managers Eamon O’Shea (hurling) and Ger Manley (camogie) will be holding trials and training sessions for their panels, which will be announced in due course. All four squads will feature 19 players, ahead of the compromised rules showdowns.
Tickets are now available to buy here.
Speaking at the launch, Uachtarán CLG Jarlath Burns said: “There is no greater honour than being asked to represent your country. Our hurlers have represented their clubs and counties with distinction and now have the chance to achieve the ultimate. These hurling and camogie clashes with our shinty cousins in Scotland offer a chance for us both to express our special cultural identity and close ties. I hope we see a good crowd at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh for the games.”
Uachtarán an Chumainn Camógaíochta Brian Molloy said: “It is great to see this double-header draw near. SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh will provide a fitting backdrop to what promises to be a brilliant day’s festival of small-ball action. Thanks to the GAA, Camanachd Association and Women’s Camanachd Association, along with all our other partners, in making this event happen.
“Also, míle buíochas to the Europlan Group, for their generous sponsorship of the Ireland camogie team.”
