50 clubs from Leinster will participate in the Camán to Leinster event in the national GAA Games Development Centre in Abbotstown this Saturday May 7th. This is a participation event for under 12 clubs in the province. A provincial event is held in each of the 4 provinces each year with registered clubs entered into a draw to play in Croke Park in August. Best wishes to all team travelling to the event!

National Hurl with Me Programme underway
This is the first week of the National Hurl with Me Programme in association with the National Dairy Council. 24 clubs from around the country are taking part in the programme. The Hurl with Me Programme is part of the Camogie Association’s National plan to support parents’ involvement in the game through physical activity and volunteering opportunities such as coaching and administration.
The six week programme encourages parents/guardians to learn the basic skills of Camogie while also increasing their own physical activity levels. See video below from Cahir programme in Tipperary!

Leinster League Finals
Two of the four Leinster League finals took place last weekend. The Leinster league is a cross county competition for adult non county players. In Division 2 St. Vincents Dublin defeated Skerries Harps. In Division 4 final Naas, Kildare defeated Ballinacor of Wicklow. Mount Leinster Rangers of Carlow will play St.Munnas of Westmeath in the Division 3 final.

Camogie 4Teens Cavan provide skills day for underage players
As part of their Camoggie4Teens initiative in Cavan the group organised a skills day in Crosserlough for club u9 to u13 players. After completing their Coaching module the teens put their knowledge into practice by coaching the underage players on the day!

‘Coaching the Tackle’ Wexford
A ‘Coaching the Tackle’ Workshop was held on May 4th in Glynn/Barntown in Wexford. 27 coaches from 9 clubs attended on the night with thanks to tutor Brendan Phelan and to Joe Roche Development Officer for organising.
On Thursday the May 12th Wexford Camogie will host a 'Goalkeeping' workshop which will be tutored by former Kilkenny goalkeeper David Herity. For more information on this workshop please contact the county development officer Joe Roche on developmentofficer.wexford@camogie.ie.
