AIB Leinster Club Camogie Finals Sunday 10 November 2013 Nowlan Park Kilkenny

14.45     St Ibars/Shelmaliers (Wexford) v Mullinavat (Kilkenny)

Wexford camogie star Kate Kelly will be hoping to complete a memorable week on Sunday as her club St Ibars bids to capture the Leinster club title for the third time.  A week ago Kate won  her 7th All-Star and her performance in their semi final win over Ballyboden St Endas demonstrated how central she is to her team.  But she will be ably backed up by fellow county players Katrina Parrock, Brigid Curran, Ciara Donohoe and Aine Lacey.

Mullinvat don't lack for quality either – intercounty stars Elaine Aylward, Michelle Quilty and Leanne Fennelly (daughter of former Kilkenny hurler Liam) will be hugely determined to win their first Leinster crown.

St Ibars managed by Alan  Aherne (Wexford All-Ireland winning selector 2007) have come through a tight route winning the Wexford semi final and final by two points and a single point was enough to see off Ballyboden but it's an open call who will win on Sunday in this battle of neighbours.

13.00     Camross (Laois) v Ballyhale Shamrocks (Kilkenny)

The programme at Nowlan Park throws in on Sunday with the meeting of Camross and Ballyhale Shamrocks.  Not surprisingly the Fennelly name figures strongly in the Ballyhale line out with no less than 6 representatives of the clan.  Kilkenny stars Jacqui Frisby and KellyAnne Cotterall were prominent in their county final extra time win and so far they have progressed to the final in some style.

Tradition runs deep in Laois as well and the names of Cuddy and Dollard are to be found in the Camross lineout.  Niamh Dollard and Sara-Ann Fitzgerald were Soaring Stars winners last Saturday and the Laois champions who saw off neighbours Shinrone to reach the decider will be looking for star performances from these and more on Sunday.
