The Camogie Association, along with their proud sponsor Allianz, are excited to announce the 64 clubs that will be competing on Sunday 9th June at Croke Park for the annual Allianz Camán to Croker event. This event also coincides with The Camogie Association’s 120th anniversary celebrations. The 64 U12 teams from across the country will have the opportunity to represent their clubs in this fun-filled day through a series of blitz’, having been lucky enough to be selected through a random open draw.

This event is part of the wider Gaelic Games Go Games activity days and has proven a great success in the years since its establishment. Similar to previous years, we were delighted with the uptake of clubs wishing to participate in the programme.

Brian Molloy, President of The Camogie Association, expressed his congratulations to the selected clubs for their participation in the Allianz Camán to Croker event and thanked Allianz for their continued support of grassroots Camogie through their sponsorship of the Allianz Post-Primary Competition and Allianz Camán to Croker.

“As we celebrate our 120th anniversary, The Camogie Association is in a very strong position thanks to continued support from partners like Allianz who have sponsored this event since 2022. We also appreciate the #StopTheDrop campaign developed by Allianz which aims to decrease the drop-out rate of children in sports. Keeping young people actively involved in team sports and encouraging lifelong participation in physical activity is a shared goal across the Gaelic Games family and we hugely appreciate the Allianz campaign in this regard.

Representing your club and community is a huge honour for all of these young players and I know they will enjoy and cherish the opportunity to play camogie on the hallowed turf at Croke Park.”

Chief Customer Officer Geoff Sparling of Allianz Ireland said ‘’ We are proud to be the official sponsor of The Camogie Association and support Gaelic Games at a grassroots level. As the largest insurer of schools in Ireland, insuring over 500,000 children, we want to play a part in stopping this drop in participation in sport through our awareness campaign #StopTheDrop. Events like Allianz Camán to Croker give young girls the opportunity to play the game they love on the renowned pitch and make life long memories encouraging them to stay involved in sport.’’

Congratulations to all the clubs who have been selected to play on 9th June and we look forward to welcoming you to Croke Park.
