Bank Holdiay Monday 2nd June proved to be a great day in Pearse Stadium Galway for Camán to Connacht event. This day was a celebration of Camogie's 110 years with clubs in Connacht. 27 under 12 teams came to Pearse Stadium from the province of Connacht to play in a blitz. President of the Camogie Association Aileen Lawlor addressed the crowd of 450 girls on the day. Marie O Brien chairperson of connacht camogie council was in attendance with special guest Therese Maher bringing the O Duffy cup and McGrath cup on the day. Liam O Neill also dropped in to see the action on the day! All teams will be put in the draw to play in Croke Park in October.
