The Camogie Association will be holding a Tutor training course for our Coach Education programme on the following weekends in 2017;
1. Weekend 1 – Feb. 4/5
2. Weekend 2 – Feb. 25/26
3. Weekend 3 – Mar. 25/26
4. Weekend 4 – Apr. 8/9
5. Weekend 5 – May 6/7
A. Applicants must be aged 23 and over by January 1st 2017.
B. All Tutors must be free to attend all course weekends.
C. Overnight accommodation on the Saturday night only will be at the Camogie Association expense.
D. We would ask all applicants to consider their availability to tutor on courses post completion of the 5 weekends. The delivery time requirements for tutors on our foundation course is 8 hours this excludes travel and preparation time. The level 1 course is 12 hours, this excludes travel and preparation time.
E. The majority of the Camogie Coach education courses take place in the evening time or at weekends, we would ask all applicants to note this before applying, as each tutor once qualified must deliver a minimum of 5 foundation courses within 12 months of finishing the tutor course in May 2017.
F. A financial commitment must be made by each applicant on acceptance on to the course (in advance of participating in the course) This will be reimbursed to all qualified tutors once they fully comply with points B and E above.
G. Only fully completed application forms will be considered.
H. Each Tutor who successfully completes the 5 weekends will receive a recognised Coaching Ireland Tutor qualification.
