Following on from the Get a Grip Camogie Course on Saturday, Yvonne and Damien took a coaching session with underage girls in the area.
The session took place in Gaelic Park on Sunday morning where over 25 girls and 8 boys attended. The session started off with a fun warm up activity and then the group was split in two for some skill development. Some of the coaches who were at the course the previous day joined in and helped out with the coaching.
The session finished up with small sided games based on the GO Games model. Sunday at Gaelic Park is very busy with games on every hour and half from 10am to 8pm, it was great to see the girls getting the opportunity to train on the pitch and start off the busy schedule.
The girls will continue to train twice a week in preparation for the CYC games which will take place in July.
