As another year draws to a close and with Christmas just around the corner I would like  to wish each and everyone, at home and abroad a happy and peaceful Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.

This time of year, is very often a time for reflection and as I cast my mind back over the last twelve months, incredible on-field action has been marked by continuous development off the field at national and local level, contributing to the on-going success of our Association.

Medal ceremonies, award presentations and end of year AGMS dominate the month of December with very little quiet time and indeed it will not be long, until the ball throws in again in January with clubs and counties getting back into the swing of things as training sessions, coaching courses, league finals and much more fill up the days ahead.

During my first term as President of the Association I have witnessed first hand, the whole hearted commitment and incredible spirit of voluntarism helping to make camogie one of the leading sports for females in Ireland. In addition to wishing you a peaceful and happy Christmas I would like to thank you all most sincerely for your incredible contribution during the year to camogie within your club, county, province and at national level and I look forward to yet another busy and successful 2013.

Best Wishes,

President of the Camogie Association, Aileen Lawlor
