In the other fixture from Division 1A, UL and WIT will compete. UL will be disappointed they were unable to field a team against UCC and they will be hoping to challenge WIT for the top spot in this section. After racking up a fine score against CIT, WIT will be confident that they will have enough to secure two more league points. On paper WIT are the stronger side but this will count for nothing and when the ball is thrown in they can expect a tough battle from UL and can be sure that they wont have it all their own way.
In the other section, UUJ and NUIG have rescheduled their fixture for next week but UUJ have their fate in their own hands and if they can beat NUIG they will top the group and make it to their first league final for a number of years. QUB travel to UCD and despite losing their opening two matches they can be pleased by their performances. They lost to a very strong UUJ team by a single point and with a bit more composure in front of the goals then they could trouble UCD. UCD will be hoping to win this match and hope that NUIG will do them a favour by beating UUJ next week to keep their hopes of reaching the league final for the fourth year running.
