Don’t miss us on Ireland AM this Monday!
Tune into Ireland AM on Virgin Media One this Monday from 7-10am as we discuss our nationwide appeal for historical materials to contribute to the GAA Library and Archives.
This initiative is part of the Newman Fellowship Project at UCD, celebrating 120 years of Camogie and its unique role in Irish life.
Live with Deric O’Hartigan at the GAA Museum in Croke Park will be Uachtarán Brian Molloy, Olympian and former Camogie player, Ciara Mageean and Sarsfields star, Niamh McGrath.
We’re looking for your help to preserve the history of Camogie for future generations. If you or your family have connections to Camogie over the past 120 years and have any of the below items, please contact GAA Archivist Adam Staunton at astaunton@crokepark.ie or call 01 8192350.
- Match Programmes (especially older or non-senior levels)
- Minute Books, Scrapbooks & Match/Newspaper Reports
- Unique Medals (e.g., a rare 1916 medal recently shared)
- Club Histories Historical Club Cups
Since 2007, the GAA Library and Archive has been safeguarding the rich heritage of the GAA, LGFA, and Camogie Association through records, photos, and memorabilia.
