League Wrap 17 May 2009
The Seven Dublin Adult leagues are at the half-way stage and a very competitive second half is in prospect. In Division 1, Champions St Vincents and Championship winners Ballyboden St Endas are joint top on 10 points after 6 games. However Good Counsel are showing promising early season form and with a game in hand could go joint top soon.
Naomh Mearn¾g could close the gap if they overcome Ballyboden St Endas in tonight’s crucial tie at Carrickhill.
In Senior B – Division 1, St Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh are on full points from six games with Lucan Sarsfields just two behind. Two drawn games have seen Naomh BrÝd slip back a little but clearly they too could make up ground.
In Senior B – Division 2, St Vincents have a clear lead with 100% record on 12 points but there is a three-way tie in second place between Naomh Peregrine, Thomas Davis and Naomh Pßdraig.
Sitting on top of Intermediate Division 1 are Na Fianna with just one defeat from 6 games with Good Counsel in second place on 8 points.
Chasing hard are a trio of teams on 6 points – Erins Isle, St Marks and Raheny.
While on top of Intermediate Division 2 are Ballyboden St Endas on full points from 6 games with Liffey Gaels on six points with a game in hand.
In the Junior A division – Clanna Gael Fontenoy hold pole position on
12 points from 6 games with Lucan Sarsfields one point behind while in the Junior B division Cumann Bßire CaoimhÝn and Whitehall Colmcille are locked together on 10 points from six games with Setanta and Naomh Barr¾g chasing hard on 6 points each.
