50 U13s travelled to Mallow to play in the James Hurley Shield Blitz.

(the U14s played in the Cup)

Both squads played with great heart and determination after an early morning start and a long journey.

The As drew with Offaly U14s in the first match 1.7 to 2.4.  Dublin

scorers: Orla Beagan 0.2, Shaunagh Harte 0.1, Danielle Pugh 0.2, Eve Kehoe 1.1, Laura Morrissey 0.1.

The As then beat Kerry U14s 5.5 to 0.2.   Dublin scorers: Orla Beagan 0.1, Ailish O’Neill 2.0, Laura Morrissey 1.0, Aisling O’Leary 1.0, Eve Kehoe 0.1, Ann-Marie Courtney 1.3.

The As then beat a Cork Primary School Selection 1.8. to no score.

Dublin scorers: Orla Beagan 1.3, Aisling O’Leary 0.2, Eve Kehoe 0.1, Ann-Marie Courtney 0.2.

This set up a final against Offaly.  The girls were improving all day and saved their best performance for the final, running out winners by

3.5 to 0.2.  Dublin scorers: Orla Beagan 0.2, Shaunagh Harte 0.1, Ann-Marie Courtney 2.2, Ailish O’Neill 1.0.

Management of the A squad would like to announce that their Player of the Tournament was Niamh Byrne from Lucan Sarsfields who was outstanding in every game.

Congratulations too to the B squad who had victories over Kerry and Cork.
