President of the Camogie Association Aileen Lawlor was brought back to her Dublin roots on a grand tour of primary schools in the county ahead of Feile na nGael 2012 which will take place in Dublin from July 5th to 7th.

The President was joined by members of the Dublin County Board, Dublin County Players and administrators as well as representatives from GAA and Handball on a week long tour of the county to promote Feile 2012.

Throughout the week over 120 primary schools were visited in the build up to the biggest under-age tournament in the country. Teams from all 32 counties will come to Dublin from July 5th to 7th and will be hosted by local clubs in Dublin. A huge parade will take place on Thursday July 5th in Dublin’s O’Connell Street that will feature all the participating teams and marching bands including the famous Artane Band.

A huge thank you to Pat Martin, Barbara Grennell, Collette Coady and all who helped to co-ordinate the visits for Camogie.

Thank you also to former president Phyllis Breslin, former Ard Stiúrthóir Sheila Wallace, Máire Uí Scolaí, Helen Cosgrove, Ciara Burgess, Alison Maguire, Elaine Gallery, Emma Whyte, Mairi Moynihan, Aisling Carolan, Stephanie Carthy, Gráinne Free, Mary O’Connor, Louise O’Hara, Carol Nolan RDO for Dublin and Kildare who all gave of their time to help cover the schools throughout the week.
