O’Flynn defeated Antrim’s Catherine O’Hara in a vote to

current President Liz Howard, who will step down next year.  

O’Flynn started her career at the Fr. O’Neill’s club in East Cork and went on from there to become a member of the London-Irish Camogie Club.

Since moving to Kildare she has immersed herself in the game of Camogie and has administration experience at county, provincial and national level. 

O’Flynn is the current Kildare Camogie Board PRO and has also served as the County Secretary, County Chairperson and has managed the county’s minor team. 

She also documented the history of Camogie in Kildare when her book “”Soaring Sliothar”” was published in 2004. 
 
At provincial level O’Flynn has been the Kildare delegate to the Leinster Council for several years, while at national level she is the Chairperson of the National Strategic Plan Committee and has also been a member of the Camogie Association’s Management Committee since 2006.

She will take up her post next year.
