GALA ALL IRELAND SENIOR CAMOGIE CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEWS AND TEAMS

Tipperary v Kilkenny, Semple Stadium, Saturday 4.15pm

This is a big game for both teams because with two to qualify for the All Ireland semi-final from this group, it looks like the battle will come down to Cork, Kilkenny and Tipperary.

Tipperary are going with Una O’Dwyer up front, which shows the confidence manager Fr Peter Brennan has in his backline. Kilkenny are knocking on the door for the past couple of years and boss Ann Downey will hope that Elaine Aylward, Anne Dalton and Catherine Doherty’s experience will see them through.

Galway v Clare, Kenny Park, Athenry, Saturday 3.30pm

Galway play host to Clare who are promoted to the top tier this season. Liam Donoghue’s charges will be looking to go one step further than 2008 and he has an extensive panel to choose from. Players such as Regina Glynn, Niamh Kilkenny, Therese Maher and Veronica Curtin will put it up to the Banner.

Bertie Sherlock has his team in fine form, but they will need to hit the ground running. Fiona Lafferty, Deirdre Murphy and Shonagh Enright and co. will give it everything.
