(Group Two) Clare v Limerick, Cusack Park, Ennis, Saturday 3.30pm

Both Clare and Limerick will see this as an opportunity to gain their first set of points in the Gala All Ireland senior championship. Limerick, with Sarah Carey – daughter of county hurler Ciarßn – at corner back have named a strong team which includes the three Mulcahy sisters. Eileen O’Brien and Aoife Sheehan will provide the experience.

(Group One) Dublin v Tipperary, Parnell Park, Saturday, 3.30pm

Tipperary have regrouped since their opening round defeat to rivals Kilkenny a couple of weeks ago. Significant is the naming of Una O’Dwyer in her more familiar role in defence. The Premier County must win this tie if they harbour hopes of qualifying from their group as their final game is a tough one away to Cork.

Dublin, likewise, need a victory if they are to keep their hopes alive. Playing in Parnell Park is sure to spur them on, and with Kilkenny yet to face Louise O’Hara and co. need the win too.

Dublin: S Carthy; A Fitzpatrick, T Corrigan, C Power; E O’Meara, L O’Hara (Capt), S Ryan; C Lucey, L Twomey, R Costello, E Brannigan, N Taylor; E Lucey, A Murphy, J Hoary.

Tipperary: P Ryan; M Ryan, S Kelly, T Shortt; P Bulfin, T O’Halloran, U O’Dwyer; L Bourke, J Horan; G Kinnane (Capt), M Luttrell, C Devane; J Ryan, E Hayden, M Shortt.
