The fourth annual Feile na mban, Glasgow Women’s Celtic Sports Festival organised by the Tir Conaill Harps GAC is now inviting clubs from throughout Ireland and Britain to register for this year’s event. Once again the festival will return to Glenconner park in the city’s Garngad area and will run over three days from 2nd to 4th October and will include Camogie, Ladies Football and Primary Schools coaching and workshops.

This year the club has enlisted the Euro Hostel, Glasgow as a partner and they are offering accommodation at special rates for visiting teams. The hostel is also the venue for the Festival hooley and is located in the heart of Glasgow city centre, which is less than fifteen minutes drive away from the venue for the sporting activities.

The aim of the Festival is raise the profile of women’s sport both within the club and also to the wider Glasgow community to increase participation in Camogie Ladies Football and Women’s Shinty.  The club also hopes to encourage more women to become active in the club in coaching and administration.

Further details on how to register are available on the club website www.tirconaill.org or by e-mailing Club Development Officer, Tommy Main on harps@live.ie
