Official Website of the Camogie Association

At this time of year we remember those Irish people that have made a home abroad. One such family is the Fitzpatrick family from Clonakilty Cork who moved to Brisbane in Australia.

In this clip Emilie Fitzpatrick explains what it means to be playing Camogie in Australia.

Emilie, who is only 17, says in the clip
"I always loved camogie, but once I came here, I felt like I had to keep it. It just reminded me so much of home.
It was like it was a part of me and I just couldn’t lose it."
