Round Towers Hurl with Me Programme came to a conclusion last week after 6 weeks. 20 parents took part in the programme in the newly formed North Dublin club in Lusk. Laura and Miriam Twomey Dublin senior camogie players were special guests on the night. They presented the parents with hurleys funded by the Fingal Sports Department. Parents and daughters can now continue to practice the skills of the game at home. Well done to all involved in the programme and best wishes with the new club development.

Camán Get a Grip
Galway
A Caman Get a Grip foundation course took place in Newcastle/Rahoon area of Galway city last weekend. 11 coaches attended the course with Eileen Gleeson tutoring on the day.

Wexford
On Saturday the 14th of November 18 coaches from Wexford took part in the Get a Grip foundation course. The course was held in St.Ibars/Shelamliers. Noel McSweeney tutored on the day. Best wishes to all coaches in their future coaching careers.
 
Offaly Goal Keeping Workshop
Galway’s goalkeeper Susan Earner delivered an excellent goalkeeping workshop on Saturday last in Banagher College, Offaly. Susan covered footwork & high catching among other goal keeping topics. A special thanks to all the players and coaches who took part and thanks to Paddy Scales for the use of the indoor facility in the school.

Wexford 1st Year Schools Blitz:
On Wednesday the 11th of November Wexford camogie development officer Joe Roche organised a participation blitz for all schools in Wexford in in Faythe Harries GAA and Camogie grounds.  Despite the high winds and rain 7 schools took part in the blitz with some entering two teams. Over 120 girls took part in the event. Thanks to the TY students who refereed on the day and also to Pat Redmond for coordinating the pitches.

Solo to Success Course continues in Kildare
The second weekend of the Level 2 coaching course ‘Solo to Success’ took place on Saturday and Sunday last in Ardclough GAA club in Kildare. Lead tutors Damien Young and Ross Corbett were joined with guest speakers Eamonn Ryan, Paudie Butler and Aoife Lane. Eamonn Ryan talked to the group about building rapport with the players. Paudie Butler took them for a practical demonstration including wall ball activities. Aoife Lane presented on goal setting for players. Well done to all coaches for their commitment over the weekend.
