Development

The Early, Rapid and Mature Movers programmes were designed to target specific windows of trainability for each age group and provide a framework in which players can progressively work towards being equipped to complete the full Camogie Injury Prevention Programme.

These age-specific programmes have been tailored to match the developmental needs of underage Camogie players and it is encouraged that they are made as fun as possible to increase player engagement.

The Injury Prevention programme was developed by researchers in Dublin City University School of Health and Human Performance led by Dr Siobhán O’Connor in collaboration with the Camogie Association.
