The Camogie Association is recruiting for a National Competitions Management Administrator to join our dynamic team.

The Camogie Association is the National Governing Body for the sport of Camogie, responsible for promoting and developing the game. Camogie is one of UNESCO’s list of protected cultural activities around the world.

Camogie operates at club, county, provincial and international levels with teams of all ages participating in our  sport in recreational and competitive activities. We work closely with colleagues in The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), and LGFA (Ladies Gaelic Football Association) at all levels of sport, administration and governance.

The National Competitions Administrator will report to the Operations Manager, responsibilities will include: –

  • National Competitions Management:
  • – Prepare and administer the annual national fixtures schedule and co-ordinate the annual review of all competitions, working with the staff team & volunteers to deliver the busy fixture calendar each year.
  • Event Management – Act as event controller /pitch side co-ordinator for key national fixtures

The successful candidate will have

  • an interest in sport and a knowledge of the structures and operations of the Camogie Association and Gaelic games.
  • at least 3 years’ professional experience of working in a relevant role in sport, service industry or other relevant area.
  • Experience of the unique environment of volunteer organisations and of working with a wide variety of stakeholders including volunteers, committees, and sporting colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills – verbal, written, reporting and presentations, using multiple IT platforms.
  • Extensive experience of project/ event management.
  • Be a dynamic self-starter with a proven ability to work independently as well as a positive and constructive team member
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Current full clean driving license, insurance, and access to own transport.
