Kathleen Woods is unopposed as the new President Elect of the Camogie Association ahead of the Camogie Association Annual Congress on 25th and 26th March in Croke Park
A former player with St.Mochua’s Derrynoose as well as representing Armagh and Ulster, Kathleen has been a member of Ard Chomhairle for the past eight years; seven years in her role as Ulster Chairperson and one as Ulster Delegate.
Previously she acted as Armagh County Board Secretary for 1 year as well as being the Orchard County’s first Children's Officer. She has also served as Children's Officer to Ulster Camogie Council for 4 years and Vice-Chairperson for 3 years prior to becoming Chairperson.
Kathleen also currently sits on the Association’s National Child Welfare and Protection Sub-Committee.
Kathleen will be in place as President Elect until 2018’s Annual Congress where she will succeed the current President Catherine Neary.
Aileen Pierce (UCD), Ailish Whitty (Wexford) and Roberta Farrell (Kildare) were also nominated unopposed for the positions of Treasurer, Coaching and Games Representative to Ard Chomhairle and PR and Communications Representative to Ard Chomhairle respectively.
