Despite suffering two group stage defeats, Kilkenny overcame Galway in the Littlewoods Ireland Camogie Leagues Division 1 Semi-Final to set up a repeat of last year’s All-Ireland Final with rivals Cork.

Kilkenny’s Anna Farrell spoke to us about how the Cats have approached the league in 2017 "We’re taking the league this year as we did last year; we’re not doing anything different or being too bothered by the All-Ireland, we’re treating it like we did last year. The league matches were so tough this year, we had good games with Galway, Wexford and Cork so I think it’s really preparing us, like a stepping stone for championship."

Speaking about facing Cork for the second time during the league campaign, Farrell says she enjoys the prospect of the challenge and welcomes the opportunity for Kilkenny to pit themselves against such a traditionally strong team.

"We always like playing Cork, they’re a brilliant team. They’ve been All-Ireland champions so many times and we’ve had to learn a lot from the way they play as well. Cork is always a tough game.

"I think we do know the way we hurl but everyone changes a few things every now and then so we’ll just have to play our own game and not really focus too much on the other team."

Sunday's Final takes place in the Gaelic Grounds Limerick as part of a double-header with the Allianz Hurling League Division 1 Final between Galway and Tipperary.
