The Camogie Association in conjunction with the Laois Sports Partnership are running a Camogie Astro League in Clonaslee Astro pitches for six weeks every Wednesday evening starting on the 21st October with the final date down for the 25th November each night from 6pm – 8pm. Games will be played over 2 pitches.
The League is open to any girl interested in playing Camogie (current players or non camogie players – ALL WELCOME) between the ages of 13 – 18 years.
Each team will to be made up of 7 players. The league will be played as 5 a-side with 2 substitutes allowed. The teams will be made up on the night, with a mix of players making up any one team. All teams will be will be made up of equal standard.
All teams will play one game each week, but each game will be 40 minute duration.
The cost to enter this league is 10 euro per person – (this will cover the cost of t-shirts for all participants that take part over the 6 weeks).
It promises to be great fun during these long winter nights.
