The Camogie Association would like to remind all clubs of the “Lap-a-Day” for Health and Wellbeing Programme that will be running during the month of October.
The idea of the programme is that each club that signs up invites members to run a lap of their Camogie field on the 1st October, 2 laps of the field on the 2nd October and so on for the entire month. By the end of the month this is roughly equivalent to running 218km (Croke Park to Gaelic Grounds Limerick).
As part of the programme we are encouraging clubs to pick a charity to donate any funds raised to. We would suggest that clubs use a formal approved fundraising page, such as everydayhero.ie, for all monies raised.
Paul O’Donovan, Player Welfare Coordinator with the Camogie Association, will also be taking part in the programme and he intends to visit a number of the clubs in the four provinces during the month, to take part in the run. We would encourage clubs to put together a video and picture log of the project and forward it to Paul to include on our social channels.
If clubs are interested in taking part, they can click ON THIS LINK to register. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact Paul O’Donovan by emailing paul.odonovan@camogie.ie
