Legends 2012

 
The 2nd Legends Tournament throws in tomorrow (Saturday, March 3rd) at St Judes GAA Club, Dublin.
 
Nine teams are taking part in this year’s competition and defending champions Kilkenny face a challenge to retain the Biddy Phillips Cup.
 
The competition which caters for those over the age of 35 and/or retired from inter-county camogie for the last five years, has attracted some of the top teams from across the country with Cork, Kilkenny, Clare and Wexford amongst the line-up.
 
Tomorrow’s competition will involve three groups of three playing each other once:
 
Group One: Armagh, Clare, Kilkenny
 
Group Two: Cork, Galway, Offaly
 
Group Three: Antrim, Tipperary, Wexford
 
Following a draw, teams will be allocated into the quarter-finals at 1.00pm with semi-finals taking place at 2.00pm and the final throwing in at 3.30pm.
 
Camogie fans are in for a treat with former greats such as Deirdre Hughes (Tipperary), Sharon Glynn (Galway) and Fiona O’Driscoll (Cork), to name but a few togging out.
 
Saturday’s tournament is also a momentous occasion for two new clubs, representing their counties, Clanmaurice of Kerry and Gort Letteragh of Leitrim will play in an exhibition game at 3.00pm
