The final of the Leinster Club League will take place this Saturday 24th May in Raheens GAA Club Kildare at 7pm.
After two months of group games Raharney of Westmeath won the north section last weekend just piping Kilmessan of Meath in extra time of the north final. In the South section Myshall of Carlow came out on top to book their place in the overall final this weekend.
The league is in its second year and was extended this year by development officer Eve Talbot to include a north and south section. It was part of an initiative to increase games and competitiveness for senior teams and help improve overall standards of weaker counties by playing other senior teams from outside of their own county.
æWe hope the league has been of benefit to everyone who took part and next year anticipate more interest and more teams competing for a Leinster title’ Eve Talbot
