Coaching and Refereeing
On Saturday 23rd March, a number of coaching upskilling ran across the province. In Presentation De La Salle, Bagnalstown, Carlow camogie ran a full foundation with 17 new young coaches trained up and on Monday 25th March, Martin Fogarty delivered a Ball Wall Workshop in Danesfort, Kilkenny where 30 coaches participated, and a further 14 players took part in the session demonstrations. Many thanks to Danesfort, Martin and the clubs for their involvement. Kildare also ran a Foundation in Kill on Saturday past with 24 coaches upskilled and looking forward to getting into their clubs.
This Wednesday 27th March, Wicklow Camogie will hold a First Whistle Referee course in Ballinakill COE. With nearly 30 new referees already interested, it is encouraging to see so many and for these now to be assigned GoGames days this coming Summer.
As we head into the season of games, the last of the courses will be rolled out in the coming weeks. See below for scheduled courses thus far and if wishing to attend, contact your county development officer.
