Coaching and Refereeing

 

Kilkenny ran a foundation coaching course on Saturday 30^th March in Freshford. Many thanks to Freshford for the use of the facilities and to the tutors, Eoin Breathnach and Geraldine Curtis. This weekend sees a Foundation course take place in Wicklow, Centre of Excellence as well as two more in Wexford, one of which is for the Camogie4Teens initiative being rolled out currently. In Callan, Co.Kilkenny this Saturday, David Herity will deliver a Goalkeeping workshop to players and coaches interested.

 

In refereeing, both Dublin and Wicklow have ran hugely successful First Whistle courses in recent times. On Thursday 27^th March, 47 young girls completed their First Whistle Referee Course in Wicklow with over 100 in Dublin completing the same with the help of Jenny Byrne. Many thanks to Donal, Jenny and Breda in organising of these and we look forward to seeing them officiate in the coming season.
