Presentation Kilkenny started the brighter thanks to a well struck free by Mary O’Connell and within ten minutes they were 0-3 up.They applied intense pressure to a well marshalled Loreto defence who repelled numerous attacks. Meanwhile up front, Lydia Fitzpatrick got her side on the score-board thanks to a well struck free in the 20th minute to leave her side 0-1 to 0-3 adrift with Presentation adding another point shortly afterwards thanks once again to Mary O'Connell. Orla Hannick hit back for Loreto after a long-clearance from the Loreto keeper leaving the score at half-time 0-2 to 0-5 to Presentation.
Orla Hannick started the second half where she left off, tacking on another pointed free while Lydia Fitzpatrick added her second point of the game. A goal mouth scramble shortly after, resulted in a penalty shot for Presentation but Loreto saved well on the line. Aisling Nolan tacked on a point for Presentation while Marie Doheny hit back for Loreto. A nail-biting finish ensued with Loreto holding out despite intense pressure from the Presentation forward-line to collect their fourth Leinster Senior A Colleges Camogie title.
