The 2016 Liberty Insurance GAA Games Development Conference will take place on Friday, January 22nd and Saturday January 23rd next in Croke Park. Following on from the 2015 Conference – which focused on issues related to the development of the youth player – the 2016 Conference will focus on issues related to the Adult Player (aged 18 + years).
 
Friday, January 22nd will feature a 'Play to Stay' forum that will investigate many of the issues related to ensuring that player are provided with an adequate programme of games, appropriate to their needs and abilities. Speakers will present on a number of initiatives that have been developed to complement the formal games programme.
 
Saturday, January 23rd provides an opportunity for delegates to attend sessions from speakers of national and internal renowned covering topics relevant to the player, the coach, the game and the environment. Damien Young, Camogie Tutor and Lecturer Setanta College/LIT will be presenting the Camogie topic on the day. Other speakers include:

‘Solo to Success’ Level 2 Course
The final day of the Level 2 Course took place in Ardclough GAA club in Kildare. 15 coaches have completed the course. The final practical assessment for the course will take place on Saturday 12th December in Dublin.

First Whistle Meath
A First Whistle Referee course took place in St. Michaels Loreto School in Navan. 31 students completed the course covering the basics of refereeing as well as learning the ethos & rules around Go Games. Thanks to Sheila Carroll for organising the course.

Longford Indoor Blitz
An indoor camogie blitz took place in Kenagh, Longford recently. 70 girls participated on the day representing 4 schools including Kenagh, Ballymahon, Fermoyle and Drumlish. On the day the girls received coaching from RDO Lizzie Flynn & AIT student & Galway camogie player Rachel Monaghan. Thanks to all the schools who participated on the day.

Camán Get Hooked Course Leinster
A Camán Get Hooked Level 1 Course took place in Moorefield GAA club with coaches from Kildare, Carlow and Laois taking part in the course. 19 coaches from the 3 counties took part in the course. The course tutors were April Purcell, Ger Gribben and Patrick Mullaney. Best wishes to all in their future coaching.

Westmeath NS Blitz
An indoor primary schools blitz took place recently in Loreto Mullingar with all the players receiving coaching from RDO Lizzie Flynn and Loreto students Shauna Conneely & Ciara Murphy. Thanks to the schools who participated and to Loreto Secondary school for the use of the hall and student coaches

Donegal Camogie rewarded for successful year
Donegal camogie players were honoured for their commitment and achievements throughout the 2015 season at a recent presentation night. In what has been an extremely successful year for Donegal camogie, the U14 and U15 County Camogie teams were presented on the night.  They received the Ulster U14 Shield and medals, along with the All Ireland U14 Division 4 runners up medals. The All Ireland U15 Tier 2 Shield and winners medals were also presented on the night.
