Liberty Insurance recently announced a major new dimension to its partnership with the GAA and the Camogie Association.
The award-winning sponsor, who in 2013 brought together hurling and Camogie for the first time, confirmed that they will insure the All Ireland winners’ medals across hurling, Camogie and football, against loss or theft during the lifetime of the sponsorship up to an including 2017.
Annette Ni Dhathlaoi, Head of Marketing at Liberty Insurance said that ‘Liberty Insurance is in the business of providing reassurance, security and support to our customers by protecting what is important. For hurling, gaelic football and camogie players who have dedicated their lives to Gaelic games, an All-Ireland medal is the ultimate reward for their hard work and dedication. We are proud to support them by insuring medals won during the lifetime of our sponsorship’.
Aileen Lawlor, President of the Camogie Association added ‘This is a wonderful initiative by Liberty Insurance, providing extra security measures to protect the very valuable All Ireland medal. It shows Liberty’s recognition of the most coveted award by our gaelic players. This prestigious award will now be safe guarded as a memory of the highest sporting moment in a player’s sporting career. I highly commend Liberty Insurance for this initiative’.
