Make-A-Wish Ireland are seeking volunteers to assist with their upcoming wristband day "Make A Wish Day" on Friday April 12th.
This year, Make-A-Wish Ireland celebrate their 21st birthday and to mark this special occasion, they are organising a nationwide campaign to raise much needed funds to continue to grant wishes to children in every corner of Ireland and to increase awareness of the charity.
The Camogie Association and Make-A-Wish Ireland announced a three year partnership at last year's All Ireland Camogie Finals in Croke Park. The Association will be supporting Make-A-Wish with various initiatives during this time.
Make-A-Wish Day will take place on Friday, April 12th and to ensure that the campaign is successful, Make-A-Wish need to recruit volunteers from around the country to sell wristbands in shopping centres and towns nationwide. The organisation are especially seeking volunteers from the following counties: Galway, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Mayo, Tipperary, Wexford and Wicklow
Speaking about the event Make-A-Wish Ireland said:
"The success of Make-A-Wish Day could propel us into a future where there is no waiting list for wishes.?We cannot add days to a child’s life, but with your help, we can add life to a child’s day".
