President Joan O’Flynn has offered her sympathies on behalf of the Camogie Association to the family of Derry camogie and hurling referee Martin Mulholland.

Martin died last Friday while officiating at a championship hurling match between Kevin Lynch’s Dungiven and St Colm’s Ballinscreen in Swatragh.  Martin was a highly respected camogie referee at club level and was also a member of the National Referees panel for a number of years.

President O’Flynn said, “”Our sympathies to Martin’s family on their sad loss. Martin has had a life long involvement in Gaelic games and has made an enormous contribution to the game of camogie.

On behalf of the Camogie Association, I would also like to extend sympathies to the Mulholland family and the members of Robert Emmet GAC Slaughneil.””
