Monaghan Camogie held two ‘Come and Try It’ Days in association with Monaghan Cumann na mBunscol last week.
On Tuesday girls from Scoil Rois, Scoil na gCailini Castleblayney, Blackstaff, Oram, Annalitten NS and Scoil Phadraig Corduff took part in the South Monaghan Indoor Camogie blitz which was held in the Phoenix Centre, Carrickmacross. Over 100 girls attended the blitz which involved the pupils receiving coaching on the hurley and grips and how to strike the sliotar. The pupils were then involved in blitz where they were sorted according to their age.

On Thursday, 96 girls from Annyalla NS, Clontibret, Clara, Knockonan and Urbleshanny took part in the North Monaghan Indoor Camogie blitz. This blitz was run on the same format as the South Monaghan blitz with the pupils receiving coaching as well as games. The venue for this bitz was St Macartans College, Monaghan.
