Feile Skills Competition 2016
The National Feile Skills competition will take place on Saturday the June 11th. There is 6 skills in the Camogie feile skills competition this year. A new skill (the ground cut) has been added to the skills that were in existence previously. Each county will run an internal competition and 1 winner from each county will take part in the competition on June 11th.
 
 
 
Over 200 girls attend Easter Camps in Galway, Waterford and Kilkenny

Munster Development Squad Coaching Workshop
A coaching workshop for coaches of county underage development squads took place in Mallow on March 14th. George Fitzgibbon led a practical workshop on effective warm up and its role in injury prevention. Damien Young also presented on the night on the topic of decision making.

Camán Get a Grip Wexford & Offaly
24 coaches completed the Camogie Camán Get a Grip course on March 19th last held in Craanford GAA club. Thanks to tutors Noel Wilson and Brendan Phelan.

600 attend Ulster Indoor Blitz
An indoor blitz for under 8’s and 10’s took place on March 19th in Meadowbank Magherafelt. 30 under 8 and 36 under 10 teams took part on the day with 600 girls in total.

GAA Go Games Skill Challenge
A new GAA Go Games Skill Challenges has been developed in hurling/camogie and Gaelic football for 7-12 year olds. They are designed so that participants can organise and carry them out, individually or in pairs. See: http://learning.gaa.ie/gogamesskillchallenges.
 
 
 
 
Hurl with Me Training Event
A Hurl with Me training event took place in Blackhall Gaels camogie club in Meath on March 21st last. Clubs were invited to send Level 1 camogie coaches so they could be trained up to run the programme in their own clubs. Thanks to organiser Martin Heneghan.
